Blankets are typically 30-60 gsm, supplied in wide rolls for large-area coverage. Plant covers are individual protective covers with openings or zippers. Use blankets for fields, seedbeds and block plantings (faster and cheaper per square metre) and covers for single pots and backyard trees (easier to manage). They also work together — cover first, then blanket for extra insulation.

Yes. The nonwoven is soft and light, so it lies directly on the crop without breaking stems or leaves — unlike plastic film, which needs a frame. For young seedlings, leave a little slack so the fabric does not abrade tender growth.

No. Standard blankets transmit roughly 80-90% of light, so basic photosynthesis continues during the day while wind and frost damage is reduced. If the crop is very light-hungry, open the blanket during the day and re-cover at dusk, or choose a lighter GSM.

Normally three winters or more, with heavier GSM lasting longer. At season end, clean it, let it dry, roll it up and store it cool and dry away from sunlight and sharp edges. Minor damage does not affect overall insulation performance.

Widths reach 3.2 m and length is made to your field size, minimising splicing and edge weighting. Lay it out straight over the crop, then weigh the edges with soil, sandbags or battens against wind. On large fields, two people or a roll carrier speed the job up considerably.

White and black are standard, with Pantone colours on request. White transmits more light for crops that need it; black absorbs more heat and suppresses weeds. We can screen print your logo and size markings and supply custom outer packaging for branded retail.
