Product FAQ

Quick answers on MOQ, sampling and lead time.

Typically 30-100% depending on specification. Tell us the target recycled content and application; we confirm it per batch and state it in the contract and the transaction certificate.

Yes. We hold GRS certification and issue a transaction certificate (TC) per batch; the scope certificate (SC) and TCs can be shared with your brand team or third-party auditors.

At the same GSM, rPET performs close to virgin polyester in strength, hand-feel and printability. Recycled feedstock can shift the base shade slightly, so we always sample first and only then move to bulk.

It depends on recycled content, colour and volume — there is usually a premium, part of which is the per-batch certificate cost. Send your volume and destination and we quote the actual configuration rather than a list price.

MOQ is set by size and whether printing is needed — plain white covers without printing have the lowest threshold. Tell us your seat count and change frequency for an exact MOQ.

Yes. Free A4 swatches are provided for texture & color confirmation; custom samples typically take 5-7 days.

We export to 30+ countries with FOB/CIF/DDP terms, and can arrange sea freight, air freight and customs clearance.

The standard fixing is a circumferential elastic band — pull it on and it holds, and a seat can be redone in seconds; an opening with hook-and-loop suits fast removal. Fixing is confirmed against the shape and thickness of your headrest; send a sample and we will make a trial cover.

Yes. Covers can be screen-printed in one colour or printed full colour — logo, slogan or safety notice. Since the headrest stays in the passenger's line of sight for the whole journey, many amenity buyers treat it as a brand touchpoint.

Washable covers carry laundering, drying, handling and seat-out-of-service time, so the real per-use cost is higher than it looks; disposables skip all of it. Send your flight frequency or store traffic and we will run the comparison on your actual volumes.

rPET Airline Headrest Covers: Recycled Material, Change-Per-Guest Hygiene

rPET recycled nonwoven, GRS-certified with 30-100% recycled content, made to your seat drawing with logo printing.

rPET airline headrest cover detail: sewn edge and 100% Recycle PET print
Detail: sewn edges and the "100% Recycle PET" print. Recycled content is stated per batch in the contract and the transaction certificate.

The headrest is the longest-touched surface on an aircraft or rail seat and the hardest to keep clean. Laundering a fabric cover takes the seat out of service for washing, drying and refitting; a disposable cover is changed at every turnaround and a full cabin can be redone in minutes. The difference here is the material: this headrest cover is made from rPET recycled polyester non-woven — post-consumer PET bottles re-spun into fibre — so the hygiene case for single-use does not come with a virgin-plastic cost.

Why airlines and amenity buyers are switching: EU PPWR (Regulation (EU) 2025/40) and brand-level sustainable sourcing policies are turning recycled content from a nice-to-have into a procurement requirement, while GRS certification plus a transaction certificate (TC) per batch makes the recycled content auditable. For a buyer, that means the same disposable headrest cover can satisfy both the change-per-guest hygiene standard and the ESG questionnaire.

How to verify GRS: the scope certificate (SC) proves the factory and product category are inside the certification; the transaction certificate (TC) proves, per batch, how much recycled material was used. Both can be checked through the certification body or the Textile Exchange system, and we ship the TC with each recycled batch. Further reading: rPET from bottle to roll, the three PPWR documents EU buyers require, how to verify a GRS certificate, and PET recycled polyester rolls.

Customisation still comes down to four things: GSM (typically 30-60, stiffer as it goes up), size (your headrest drawing or a used sample), fixing (circumferential elastic band or hook-and-loop opening) and whether a water-resistant finish is needed. White is standard; brand colours and logo printing are available. Send the seat drawing or a used sample and we make a trial cover first — confirming fit and recycled-shade before bulk.
